All to Drive for after Solvalla
The latest heat of the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, 2016, at Solvalla, Sweden, saw a dramatic battle in front of 11,400 spectators. The weekend went to Philip Morin, who qualified fastest on the Friday, and so started in pole, but EnergyCasino driver Jocke Mangs drove hard and ended up in a very respectable fourth place.
The championship leader, Fredrik Larsson, finished in seventh place, meaning that the championship leaders are still closely packed. Larsson is on 171 points, with Morin right behind on 169, Hansson on 153, and Mangs on 147. This means there is still everything at stake in the final weekend of racing at Knutstorp on September 23-24th. Mangs has been driving extremely well, and the car is as good as it can be, so he is feeling confident for the final. It’s going to be a tall order for him to take top spot now, but it’s still possible, and with his teammate, also driving an EnergyBet/EnergyBet Porsche, currently in top spot, we could be looking two podium places for the yellow and black Porsche drivers!
